Hi,
Great diving here. This morning we went through an underwater "swim through" 108 feet down, that ended over a drop to 5000 feet. A great "rush."

While (I think) my dad still had his research project in Brazil, during the past ten years he has done a lot of AIDS research in the Caribbean and West Indies. I often wonder if he took in interest in this geographical area primarily because it would afford him diving vacations during each business trip, with many expenses paid. Unless he mentions work on the cards, however, it's nearly impossible to distinguish whether the trips were half business, half pleasure, or bona fide vacations.

I should mention that his wife works side by side with my dad--in fact, she was his research assistant when I was in high school, which is how, and when, they got together. Last time I checked (which was years ago), he still denies they had an affair. But my mother and I aren't stupid.
