Thanks Kenji! I've been spending a lot of time downtown, since that's where some of the interesting furniture stores are. I can't say I've been able to stay away from the junkies, but I've managed to avoid being stuck with anything. So that's good, I suppose.

I think it is very interesting to figure out how old you'll be in a certain number of years, and how old a friend's child or really young sibling will be. My ex gf's sister was 5 when we were together. I'm 12 years older than she is. I figured that when my ex and I are 30, she'll be 18. I think the crazy thing is that no matter how old we get, we're always going to be that much older than those people, they'll never catch up. That idea was always staggering.

You're right about age and kids. My wife and I figure we'll be better parents two years from now than we could be right now. We also assume we'll always be able to say this, no matter how old we are. So we can never really justify having kids.

Ugh, Tampa. I hate tampa. I hope he finds it more fulfilling than I have.

These days drugs are so hard to guess at. Soon I plan on trusting in drugs a lot. I think there are magnificent and almost endless potential benefits to medicine in the near future, especially as they become more targeted, and their delivery to specific spots in the body results in less side-effects.

This sounds like it could be a very helpful drug. One of these days drugs like this will work some miracle; I hope this is the day for your father. Good luck.

Hey, Marsupial. I wandered over here from the MFA blog. Congrats on UNCG, and a great choice! I got in but had to turn them down, though it broke my heart. Jim's great isn't he? Whatever you do, jump on that fly fishing workshop him and Craig Nova are trying to put together. Just wanted to say congrats and wish you luck in NC.

Hi!

I was flabbergasted when I saw how many wonderful postcard blogs there are in the blogosphere! I have been stumbling over gorgeous postcard images as I visit blog after blog after blog. My cheeks hurt from smiling! I love finding people with similar interests.

I am starting a postcard event called Postcard Friendship Friday. I'll put Mister Linky on my blog to keep us all connected. It would be wonderful if you could join, visit, and leave a comment on the other blogs who have joined the event too!

You don't even have to be a collector to join! There are zillions of postcard images on Flickr to pick from. Vintage, postcrossing, retro, personal travels, kitsch…… the list of postcard types is long!

Hey, its nice to see you around again :)

New Year resolutions, eh? I said to myself i wont make any, coz either way i end up not sticking to them...this year i made a few and i already breached one...so im really not a resolution kind of person :)
But i really wish id be able to stick to some of the ones you mentioned, like to quit procrastinating...im a terrible procrastinator...its really affecting my life in general :)
And i wish i had the strength to stop worrying for being alone, but i cant...my whole being tends to wanting to be with someone :|
I should also get out of the country (if the visa issue wasnt such a problem, i would have) and i should take some more care of myself and treat my body with some physical activities...but im always either too busy or too tired or just too lazy...yeah, im awful, i know :)

however, i like that style of writing and the language you use...feels so casual and cool to read ;)
